I read a wonderful post on Olive Tree Genealogy this week called A Month without a Genealogy Day is like a Day without Sunshine. The post discusses how some of us get so wrapped up in our client’s or friend’s research, or writing tasks, that we do not take time to do our own.
Lorine decided to schedule one day a month to do genealogy related tasks for her family research. For that one day a month she will forget about the non-important things on her to-do list and focus on research. She and her husband will travel near and far to accomplish her research tasks.
Read her post when you get a chance. I think it applies not only to genealogy but other things we find so important in our lives but that get lost in the day to day living.
