This week I must do Follow Friday a bit early because I discovered a blog written by Mark Rabideau called ManyRoads, through a discussion on one of my LinkedIn groups and had to share. Mark has two must read posts on his blog that I plan to spend a lot of time exploring.
The first is a post called Genealogy Materials where he lists valuable educational resources for the family historian. The best part, most are free! His categories include:
- 50+ Free Genealogy Courses
- Free Genealogy Forms, Software, etc.
- Free Genealogy Podcasts & Internet Radio
- Genealogy Courses and Certifications (Tuition)
- Genealogy Webinars & Online TV- Free!
- Tools for date calculations
- What’s in a name?
The second post I found very informative and a must-share resource is called Tips, Options and Pointers. This post contains so many categories, it is impossible to list them all here. You will have to check out his post and see the wealth of information he has provided. Each category is linked to a blog post he wrote about that topic.
In addition to these posts, his blog also contains categories to explore such as Downloads; Libraries; Links; Archives; Histories; Our Families; and more. Check out ManyRoads. I think you will discover something you did not know before!

Hi Jennifer,
Thank you very much for your kind words and post. I hope folks find the ManyRoads materials helpful.
Best regards.
